            Established in 2001 in Jinan, the capital city of Shandong Province of China, Shandong Lanjin Pharmaceuticals Co. LTD (hereafter referred to as “the Company” or “We”) develops novel pharmaceutical products, mainly for the treatment of cancers of different types.         Mr. Qingzhong Kong, M.D., Ph.D., Chairman, Director and Professor of Shandong University Cell Brain Research Center, has gained diverse experiences from research to development, lab director to corporate chairman. He worked at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center from 1991 to 2001 sequentially as a Postdoctoral fellow, Instructor, and Assistant Professor mainly engaging in tumor chemotherapy focusing on drug delivery.  He also directed the Surgical Oncology Laboratory for the center in later years of that period. Dr. Kong postulated the “Threshold Theory” in 1997; “Self-defense Theory” in1998; and “Cell Brain Theory” in 2002. These theories are often discussed and referenced by colleagues in the field. Due to his contributions to cancer research, Dr. Kong has become invited members of several international organizations such as AAAS, AACR and New York Academy of Science.Since returning to China in year 2001 from USA, Dr. Kong has received many reputable honor achievement certificates from various levels of government. Significantly, Dr. Kong was highly praised by and selected to meet with Chinese top leaders: President Hu Jintao and Premier Wen Jiabao.         Under the leadership of Dr. Qingzhong Kong, the Company completely won an intellectual property conflict case in China that lasted for three years. Through this case, the company gained a lot of reputation in the industry and is now well recognized at national level. Dr. Kong has effectively taken advantages of both Western and Eastern cultures and management. Within 5 years, the company has completed preclinical studies of more than 20 new candidate drugs, and 12 of them are successfully filed to sFDA(six anticancer implants; two anticancer injections;one biodegradable and biocompatible polymer; and three active pharmaceutical ingredients(APIs)).Of them, seven products have been approved for phase III in China.         The main technology platform is the novel drug delivering technique through which sustained releasing implants and suspensions are developed to release the Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) in the localized sites at high concentrations for an extended period of time, therefore significantly avoiding or reducing the contact of the usually toxic ingredients with other normal tissues and organs.         The company has filed almost 500 patent applications in China, USA, EU, Australia, Canada, Singapore, and Israel. Up to today, 31 patents have been granted in China, 5 in USA, and 1 in Australia. Most of our patents are pharmaceutical compositions, such as anticancer sustained release implants or injections; anticancer sustained release thermal sensitive gels; and antibiotic sustained release injections.    [ Click for details ]
